TM Scattering by a Wedge with Concaved Edge
نویسنده
چکیده
TM scattering problem by a perfectly conducting wedge with concaved edge is formulated for a line source excitation using the modematching technique. The scattered and guided fields are represented in terms of an infinite series of radial waveguide modes with unknown coefficients. By applying the appropriate boundary conditions, the coefficients of scattered field are obtained. For small ka, the diffraction coefficient of concaved edge is derived from the scattered field.

The Diffraction of an Inhomogeneous Plane Wave by an Impedance Wedge in a Lossy Medium - Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on
The diffraction of an inhomogeneous plane wave by an impedance wedge embedded in a lossy medium is analyzed. The rigorous integral representation for the field is asymptotically evaluated in the context of the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (UTD) so that the asymptotic expressions obtained can be employed in a ray analysis of the scattering from more complex edge geometries located i...
متن کاملBandwidth improvement of LiNbO3 ultrasonic transducers by half-concaved inversion layer approach.
A novel type of half-concaved LiNbO(3) plate with domain inversion layer has been proposed for fabricating high-frequency broadband ultrasonic transducers. Two opposite ferroelectric polarization layers with a curved boundary are presented after heat treatment in the half-concaved LiNbO(3) plate with a total thickness of 110 μm. Characterization of the transducers illustrates that, without a ma...

Background: Given the importance of scattered and low doses in secondary cancer caused by radiation treatment, the point dose of critical organs, which were not subjected to radiation treatment in breast cancer radiotherapy, was measured. Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the peripheral dose in two techniques of breast cancer radiotherapy with two energies. Methods: Eight diff...
متن کاملSession 3pPAb: General Physical Acoustics II 3pPAb3. Influence of reflecting walls on edge diffraction simulation in geometrical acoustics
Edge diffraction can be introduced into Geometrical Acoustics mainly by three models: detour-based, energetic and wave-based diffraction models. In the past, we thoroughly compared Maekawa's detour law, the uncertainty relation based diffraction method and the secondary source model by the example of edge diffraction of a single wedge. However, the influence of the wedge shape has not yet been ...
متن کاملA Case of Successful Surgical Repair for Pectus Arcuatum Using Chondrosternoplasty
Pectus arcuatum is a rare complex chest wall deformity. A 31-year-old female presented with a severely protruding upper sternum combined with a concave lower sternum. We planned a modified Ravitch-type operation. Through vertical mid-sternal incision, chondrectomies were performed from the second to fifth costal cartilages, saving the perichondrium. Horizontal osteotomy was performed in a wedge...
